By opening OBOR- The Belt and Road Initiative to all countries and regions of the world, and promising a long-term economic development and growth, China is perhaps creating a new wave of globalization with its own characteristics. Manufacturing Employment Elasticity and Its Drivers in Developing and Emerging Countries : Focus on Sub-Saharan Africa

The aim of this work is to contribute to the empirical literature on employment-GDP elasticities in three main ways. First, it provides a set of employment-GDP elasticities for a sample of emerging and developing economies, including 11 sub-Saharan countries, based on the GGDC 10-sectors database.
